GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Unishield GlazeGuard is a thermal insulation tape is a high-performance woven fabric made from high-purity aluminum-silicate ceramic fibers, reinforced with fiberglass or stainless steel filaments to enhance mechanical strength and durability. It is designed to provide superior ther- mal insulation and resistance in high-tempera- ture environments. This tape is lightweight, flexi- ble, and offers excellent thermal stability, making it suitable for wrapping, gasketing, and sealing applications in industrial thermal management.

Unishield GlazeGuard maintains its integrity at temperatures up to 1260°C (2300°F), depending on the reinforcement type. It exhibits low thermal conductivity, excellent resistance to thermal shock, and does not contain asbestos, making it a safe and effective solution for heat protection and fireproofing.

APPLICATION

» When installing glazing panels, Unishield GlazeGuard should be applied as a protective layer between the steel bead- ing and the glass, and between the steel beading and the door leaf. This ensures optimal fire resistance, prevents direct contact between dissimilar materials, and enhances the overall integrity of the glazed assembly.
